Al-Qaeda Wants to Blow Up Your SEGA
Oh WikiLeaks, we haven’t forgotten about you.
One of the curiosities of the last WikiLeaks dump was a little note that Al-Qaeda plotted to blow people up through their Sega gaming systems!
Detainee Abu Faraj al-Libi’s leaked records show that he was slotted to fill Khalid Shaikh Mohammed’s leadership role after alleged 9/11 mastermind Mohammed was imprisoned,
Wired reports that Abu Faraj al-Libi, slotted to replace Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, ”headed an operation to build remote detonators and conceal them in children’s video game cartridges. The file on him states that “radio-type detonating devices” were designed to be triggered with cell phones, were discovered in a raid of a safe-house he was in charge of. Good gravy. There were detonators built into the rear of Sega Genesis game cartridges.
And you thought the Playstation leak was bad.
